WHAT IS DOME SPE?

Dome Spe is a Douglas county emergency and transitional shelter for unaccompanied minors age 12-17 who are experiencing houselessness or housing insecurity located in the heart of the community at the Lotus Pad Campus, our shelter provides immediate, short-term housing and support for young individuals facing difficult situations. As well as the ability to provide crisis intervention to prevent houselessness. We are dedicated to empowering youth by offering a nurturing environment where they can find stability, build life skills, and gain access to resources that help them create a brighter future.

Our Mission

We are committed to supporting homeless, at-risk, and marginalized youth by providing a caring, respectful, and safe environment. Our goal is to ensure that every young person who walks through our doors feels seen, heard, and valued. Through comprehensive services—including counseling, education, job readiness programs, and mentorship—we work to guide young people toward self-sufficiency and a sense of hope.

What We Offer

This facility provides safe and comfortable accommodation for youth aged 12 to 17, with a maximum capacity of five beds. Adults are on-site for supervision around the clock, and the premises are equipped with 24-hour video surveillance for added security.

Residents receive three nutritious meals daily, with access to an open kitchen for snacks at any time. Additionally, transportation is provided for appointments, job interviews, school, and more.

To support personal growth, the facility will try to offer outings and educational experiences such as cooking classes and hobby workshops, helping each resident develop new skills and enrich their lives.

We understand your needs and are dedicated to helping you during this phase of your life. Enjoy amenities like showers, laundry facilities, toiletries, and snacks whenever you desire. We offer a wonderful space where you can either relax with a book in solitude or have fun with friends.

Full washer and drier set up to bring in your clothes to get them cleaned for free.
